Genius Idea for an Inexpensive Bed

Inexpensive cement blocks from a home improvement store serve as dual bed legs (and shoe storage!). A plank of wood on the blocks provide support for the mattress. The gold painted on headboard and gold lamps offset the industrial feel by adding a bit of posh and glam.
