Genius Idea

When Jen of Made by Girl, shared a few shots of her new home office, I was instantly drawn to her luxe mousepad...

Can you believe it was actually a little DIY project?? She made it using a piece of an old handbag pasted onto an existing mousepad! What a creative way to upcycle!

Beautifully Organized Space of the Week

This week's beautifully organized space of the week is from the home of fellow design blogger, Bryn of Bryn Alexandra Interiors. Bryn recently created four beautiful bulletin boards to post and organize her inspirations, sketches and fabric swatches. I love the idea of having multiple boards -one for each project. Great for us visually oriented types!

If you haven't already, be sure to check out Bryn's blog. She's a very talented interior decorator in Charlotte, North Carolina who regularly blogs about her design projects, DIYs, inspirations, and pieces of her life :-)

DIY Artwork: Tonal Concentric Squares

Given my love for the pillows mentioned in this post its no surprise I'm drawn to this artwork:

It's a similar idea; tonal concentric squares. What I love is that the color combos are endless and it's an easy DIY paint or Photoshop project. Great way to inject color into a space!

BTW you can find pillows similar to the ones in the above mentioned post over at Jonathan Adler:

The cool thing? The colors are customizable!

DIY: Deck Your Heels

Picture 8.jpgPicture 7.jpg
Although these kate spade heels are absolutely stunning, they sadly don't fit within my budget right now. Fortunately, there's great DIY potential. Maybe I'll try decking out heels I already own by using an inexpensive brooch like these from Forever21.

DIY Project: Metallic Tape Molding

I saw this in this month's Instyle magazine and thought I'd share it with you because it's a great inexpensive DIY project. Who would've thought to add "molding" on walls using metallic tape? This would be great for an entryway. It looks surprisingly good right?
