Can you believe its already the end of another week? Before we know it we'll be in February... then it'll be spring (yay!) Anyways, I'm signing off to work on a big project. Have a great weekend! :-)

The Black Choker

I'm lusting over this Tous necklace...

Undoubtedly the heart pendant is gorgeous, however I think I'm actually most drawn to the black suede cord. It reminds me of the black velvet/ribbon choker trend that was most recently popular in the early 90s. I was only a kid back then so I didn't wear the trend, but I do remember admiring it on the stylish older girls. I definitely dont mind this look coming back again, especially since there's great inexpensive diy potential. I mean, look how sexy Daniella Bianchi looked in just a black velvet choker (no pendant necessary!)...

Phototropism

Do you remember the word phototropism from biology? For some reason that word sticks in my head. It is a plants tendency to grow towards the light.

My amaryllis bulb grows taller each day and reaches for the sun. I try to spin it around every few days so the stem won't be too curved. Can't wait for it to bloom!

On another note, I am leaning away from my comfort zone for the next two weeks. I am working for a friend in a business office answering phones. Also, this weekend the 'singing son' and I are traveling to Winchester, VA for a college audition.
